Porch Ceilings
While soffit material is used for porch ceiling areas, the length of each soffit is the biggest difference. Most common soffit lengths are 16-24 inches, with some having lengths up to 36 inches. The soffit is measured from the bottom of the fascia to the siding or beam, depending on whether there is a porch ceiling. Usually separated by a beam, porch ceilings can come in different sizes. While the standard length is 10 to 12 feet, some porch ceilings can come in over 20 feet in length. The porch ceiling is measured from the beam to the siding of the home or building.
